Mike Howard is Chairman and CEO of Howard Midstream Energy Partners, LLC 
(HEP). He has over 27 years of energy experience and is a passionate believer that the world needs all forms of energy. He is often heard saying that he is “pro-energy, pro-climate, and anti-poverty.” In his talk “Delivering Positive Energy”, you will hear about his journey and find out how a traditional oil and gas company fits into the energy transition.
A native of Agua Dulce, Texas and a proud javelina, Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University - Kingsville. Prior to starting HEP, Mike was an executive in publicly traded energy companies including one 
of the largest pipeline companies in the U.S. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of HEP and Jonah Energy LLC. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Texas A&M University - Kingsville Foundation, the Texas Pipeline Association, the United Way of Bexar County, the Witte Museum and is active in many other civic organizations. Mike lives in San Antonio with his wife and three children.
