Free Event Add to calendar

The THECB CRSM 2020 grant will sponsor an AVID for Higher Education virtual professional learning opportunity, Disrupting Deficit Narratives Through Equity-Minded Practices, presented in two sessions on May 4th and 5th, 2021, 1:00-4:15pm.  Please see the attached flyer for complete information.

There is no cost to participate, but you must register for the event at Disrupting Deficit Narratives. All faculty and staff are invited to participate, especially those who teach entry-level undergraduate courses. The Zoom link for the conference will be emailed to you closer to the start of the event, after registration has been completed.

The CRSM 2020 project provides funding for activities that increase success in entry-level undergraduate coursework. ‘Entry-level’ coursework refers to classes without college-level prerequisites, which students usually take in the first year of college.

Faculty and staff who are scheduled to teach an entry-level course in upcoming semesters, or who regularly teach such entry-level courses, may qualify to receive a $150 stipend for registering and participating in this event. Stipends will go to the first 25 qualified participants who register and attend both parts of this training.
