The Coastal Bend Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, February 23 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Texas A&M-Kingsville. The bus will be parked on University Boulevard adjacent to the Memorial Student Union Building.

We are still recommending donors to schedule an appointment, BUT walk-ins are welcome. Interested donors can click this link for Wednesday’s drive (bit.ly/3FjDs4O) OR call Hannah at the Blood Center at 361-947-4479 to schedule your lifesaving appointment.

WE ARE IN GREAT NEED OF EVERY BLOOD TYPE! We need 150 volunteer blood donors a day to keep up with our hospital’s needs.

Donors will receive our new donor T-Shirt, a Box of Girl Scout Cookies & a Sal’s Pizza Coupon.

Please be sure to bring a photo ID & eat a good meal prior to donating. There will also be Gatorade, water and snacks on our blood mobile as well.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19, have COVID-19 symptoms or currently have COVID-19, we ask you to wait to donate blood until you have been at least 10 days symptom free. If you have received the COVID-19 vaccine, you are still eligible to donate blood as long as you are not currently having a reaction to the vaccine.
